Main summer activities
Pleasure flights
There is no better way to enjoy our breathtaking mountain scenery than from the air:
- From a paraglider (http://www.les-volatiles.com/) and Patrick Bérod
- From a light aircraft flying over the Mont Blanc Range (http://www.sportsloisirsdesmontagnes.com/)
- From a hot air balloon (http://www.alpes-montgolfiere.fr/)
Mountain biking
Val d'Arly Mont Blanc’s 30 mountain bike circuits provide perfect terrain for all types of mountain biker, from families to freeriders to cross-country addicts. Accessible from all our villages, the 405 km of trails include 5 greens, 7 blues, 11 reds and 6 blacks.
A trail map is available from the tourist offices in each resort.

Walking/hiking
Crest Voland and Cohennoz give direct access to more than 90 km of signposted footpaths of all levels of difficulty. The area’s numerous walking and mountain guides will put together made-to-measure itineraries suited to your level, to ensure you get the most from Val d’Arly’s footpaths.
Cycling
Val d’Arly contains some of the most beautiful roads and most famous passes in the Alps, not to mention the legendary Route des Grandes Alpes: a fact that is recognised by the Tour de France, a regular visitor to our valley. An English-language cycling guide is available from tourist offices.
Fishing
Whether you are a coarse fisherman or a fly fisherman, you will quickly get addicted to the peace and quiet of our mountain lakes. Val d’Arly also offers an embarrassment of riches for those who prefer fishing in rivers, gorges or valley lakes (Plan Dessert). Half-board fishing holidays are organised by the 3-star Le Caprice des Neiges Hotel (http://www.hotel-capricedesneiges.com). Other fishing areas can be explored with Rodolphe, THE guide for sports fishing (information from the tourist office).
White water sports
Our mountain streams and rivers are ideal for white water sports such as rafting (http://www.berod-sports.com) or canyoning (http://www.montemedio.com/).
Crest Voland-Cohennoz also boasts tennis courts, lakes, a wide range of sports activities (basketball, volleyball, etc) and many other facilities. Find out more at the tourist office.
